what to expect

We are excited to welcome new people into our community. If you are planning on visiting us soon, download our Guest Packet for some answers to common questions that might help you enjoy your time with us. Can't find what you need? Please contact us. We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

What should I wear?

Casual attire is appropriate at Christ Community Church. Some people wear suits; others wear jeans. Please dress comfortably and remember that we gather on Sundays to worship God together with everything we have.

What about children?

There are many opportunities for your child on Sunday morning. Our staff members and volunteers are well trained, and we thoroughly investigate the background of those working with children. For a complete view of our ministries to children, click here. Our youth group, designed for children beyond 5th grade, meets most Sunday evenings and has frequent events, parties and retreats.

How long does the service last?

Our worship service normally lasts for an hour and fifteen minutes. On the first and third Sundays of each month we observe the Lord's Supper together, and this can add a few minutes to the service time.

Where are you located?

Our campus is in west Gainesville, situated between Archer, Newberry, Alachua and Gainesville. We are a 20-minute drive from the University of Florida and a 10-minute drive from Santa Fe College. Click the map below for directions.

education classes

Class for Adults

This fall we will be studying the book "Work Matters" by Tom Nelson. This book aims to connect our Sunday worship to Monday work. Join us as we explore how our day to day work fits into God's larger redemptive story. Adult class will be during the 2nd Service – 10:45am - noon.

Classes for Youth

This Fall we will be in a series called "Justification: Right with God." Why is it that so much of life is spent trying to make things right? We try to make things right with our parents. We have to make things right with our friends. Why is it that so much of life is not right? Fortunately, the Bible tells us the answer. We have to start with the bad news, because Adam and Eve's first sin is what brought this mess upon us. Because of their rebellion, we stand under the wrath of God. We inherit their brokeness and mess. From there, we will take a LONG look at Christ's work on the cross.

Classes for Children

We offer a range of Christ-centered programming for children throughout the morning. When we greet one another during the service, children ages kindergarten to 3rd grade will be dismissed from the service to their classrooms. Care for toddlers through 4 years is available all morning, and the nursery is always open to babies and nursing mothers.
