love god | love people | love gainesville

Welcome! We exist to join Christ in his renewal of all things by experiencing and extending his love throughout Gainesville. All are welcome at Christ Community Church, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.

in-person worship sunday at 9 a.m. & 11 a.m.

Ensuring everyone’s health and safety is a priority, and we will be taking a number of precautions to protect our congregation. We will be adhering carefully to all federal, state and local guidelines, as well as following the latest CDC guidance for churches.

To resume in-person worship, we will...

  • live-stream (and record) the 11:00 a.m. service,
  • rearrange the sanctuary to accommodate social distancing (cluster seating for family units)
  • strongly urge the use of face masks for adults,
  • increase the availability of hand sanitizers,
  • shorten the length of the service,
  • open doors to increase ventilation,
  • document where individuals and families are seated,
  • clean and sanitize between services, and
  • eliminate hospitality foods and beverages.

No bulletins will be distributed. PDFs available at

Children's Ministry:
We have made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily suspend our children’s worship and childcare on Sunday mornings. All children's classrooms will be closed.

Tithes and offerings will not be passed; instead, baskets will be placed in the sanctuary for giving. You may also continue to give electronically.

We want to join in the holy sacrament of communion. Therefore, prepackaged communion elements will be placed on chairs. If you need an extra communion package, it will be handed out prior to beginning the Lord's Supper.

If you are considering whether you should resume in-person worship or if the current worship limitations are too disruptive, please know we miss you and want to continue worshiping with you digitally. If you or anyone in your household is exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and worship with us online. Do not hesitate to let us know how we can pray and serve you.
